In preparation for my gate building project, I bought a cement mixer. I unfortunately didn’t realize until later though that I had no way to power it out where the cement needed mixing. I figured I would keep an eye on Craigslist for a broken down generator that I could get for cheap and fix up. Continue reading “Generator Retrofit”
When I first moved onto my property, I knew that I would eventually want to install a driveway gate to keep thieves, nosy neighbors, property appraisers, etc off of my land. Both I and my neighbor share a driveway off of the main road, and she was the one that actually brought it up to me. I’ve been planning on doing this all summer, but now that the rains have come and the ground is softening up, it’s time to pull the trigger.
Been awhile since I’ve written an update. I finally found myself an ATV for cheap, and have been rebuilding it in the evenings. On the house remodel front, I’ve got the mantle ready to be mounted tomorrow, and am finally finishing the stairs. Not going to bother posting the ATV pics again, have them on Imgur . Glad to see there is some auto integration.
This little punk lived in the bushes between mine and my neighbors house. While it was originally friendly with her animals, it turned nasty as they always seem to do.
I’ve been keeping my eye open for a cheap ATV that I can use around the property, so yesterday I notice this ad pop up on Craigslist:
2000 YAMAHA GRIZZLY 600 4 stroke ATV. 1048 on the meter. It needs a motor if you’re mechanically inclined or part it out. The motor blew one day while riding so I’m not sure whether the motor can be rebuilt. $1700
I have the title and bill of sale from when I purchased it. Contact me with ??’s
I always wanted to try out one of the Sig folding arm braces on a pistol, but didn’t really want to spend the money if it ended up being garbage. Fortunately I came by one super cheap, and after some research found that you can in fact use them with a folding stock adapter and be legal. Above is the final product next to my 8″ AR SBR. I’d never built a bridge before, but I sure needed one to get my tractor to the other side of the creek. I thought this would be a huge project, but I ended up knocking it out in a couple weeks working a couple hours in the evenings. Here are some pictures showing the build.
